By far the most successful social media platform for posting and sharing visual content is Instagram. Starting off as an exclusively social app with roughly 30 million users in 2010, Instagram has evolved into a giant in the digital landscape.
It was revealed yesterday by digitaltrends.com that Instagram has reached 500 million active users, of whom 300 million use this digital platform at least once a day. These are staggering numbers in anyone’s language.

Design expert Steven Heller doesn’t have many strong feelings about it.
“Like anything that has been familiar, it’s hard to get used to a new mark,” Heller, an author and former art director at the New York Times, tells Tech Insider. “But this seems to be as minimal as you can get, and to most eyes the refinement is insignificant.”
